Registration for senior homestead exemptions has begun in Peachtree City. Qualifying residents over age 65 with incomes under $30,000 must file forms each year to receive the $35 savings off their property taxes. They must also have already applied for the standard homestead exemption through the Fayette County Tax Commissioner’s Office.
Individuals must bring proof of age and income (2014 tax return) to City Hall by 5 p.m. Feb. 27, although tax documents will be accepted through April 17.
