Holly Springs Parkway, closed since March for a widening project, is scheduled to reopen to through traffic Tuesday, July 31, Holly Springs officials announced.

Baldwin Paving Co. Inc. will then close Rabbit Hill Road to make improvements from Holly Springs Parkway to I-575, officials said. During that closure, motorists should detour using Marble Quarry Road and Holly Street.

Project plans call for Holly Springs getting four travel lanes with a median from the Home Depot store to Rabbit Hill; extended culverts over Toonigh Creek; sidewalks and lamp posts; and a traffic light at Holly Springs and Rabbit Hill

Baldwin is doing the work under a $3.2 million contract with the city. The project was expected to take about nine months from start to finish.
