Fourteen people died in wrecks across the state over the long Thanksgiving weekend, a third less than last year.
The Georgia State Patrol said an additional 244 people were injured in the 556 crashes investigated by the GSP between 6 p.m. Wednesday and midnight Sunday.
Last year, 21 people died in Thanksgiving weekend wrecks in Georgia, according to the GSP.
