Henry County’s Emergency Management Agency is looking for volunteers to be part of its Community Emergency Response Team.
CERT trains participants how to prepare for disasters the community may face, including how to safely respond to man-made and natural hazards, organize disaster responses and promote community preparedness.
An eight-week training course is being offered from January 14 through March 3. Classes will be held every Tuesday from
6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. and will cover topics such as disaster preparedness, medical operations, light search and rescue operations and disaster psychology.
For information or to register for the classes, contact Henry County Emergency Management Specialist Robert Swanson at RSwanson@co.henry.ga.us or call 770-288-7890.
