The Henry County School System is projecting an enrollment increase for the 2015-16 school year and is looking to hire plenty of new teachers to meet that need.

A certified teacher job fair is scheduled for 9 a.m. to noon Feb. 27 at Hampton High School, 795 Hampton-Locust Grove Road in Hampton.

Those attending the fair should hold or be eligible for a Georgia Educator Certificate by the start of the 2015-16 school year, and A completed application through the district’s AppliTrack system (www.applitrack.com/henry/onlineapp/) is encouraged.

There is a projected need to fill nearly 450 teaching positions due to natural attrition and several new positions becoming available.

Subjects and areas with the largest opportunities are mathematics, science, Special Education and Spanish.

The district is the state’s seventh largest with more than 41,000 students and nearly 6,000 employees.
