The Henry County Zoning Advisory Board voted at its March 28 meeting to approve a variance request for a single lot at 520 Noblewood Drive.

That will reduce the front yard setback from 40 to 31 feet to allow for a single-family home. Officials said the site plan shows numerous wetlands on a substantial portion of the property, and after consultations with the county’s building department it was determined that the site would be unbuildable without the variance and could not be developed in compliance with county standards.

In making the motion to approve, a member of the board said the physical conditions of the property make it “a reasonable request.”
