Students from the class of 2018 in Henry County’s public schools performed at the same level on the SAT as the previous year’s graduates as evidenced in the College Board’s recent release of SAT scores.

According to district officials, 2018 graduates taking the test last school year earned a total mean score of 1010, down only one point from the district performance in 2017. This total mean score is a combination of the ERW and math mean scores. In evidence-based reading and writing, the mean score of Henry County Schools’ test takers was 519, which is the same score earned in 2017. In math, students in the district earned a mean score of 491, which is down slightly from 492 the previous year. A total of 263 more students took the SAT this year.

Eight out of 10 schools in the district saw increases to the number of students taking the test.
