Henry County school board considers $361 million budget

The Henry County Board of Education gave tentative approval at its May 9 regular meeting to a $361,586,070 budget for the 2016-17 fiscal year.

Expected revenues are more than $10 million less than expenditures, meaning the balance would be taken from the board’s fund balance, which is currently at $55 million.

Final budget approval is expected in June.
