More than $350,000 has been allocated by the Henry County Board of Commissioners for utility relocation on three transportation projects.

Construction on the McDonough Parkway extension from Hwy. 42 to Hwy. 155 requires Georgia Power to relocate a portion of its facilities, according to county officials. Similar work by the Henry County Water Authority is needed to allow for the Amah Lee Road dirt road construction project to proceed as well as the intersection improvement project at South Bethany Road and Hwy. 81.

All three projects are being financed by the county’s current SPLOST.
