The Henry County Board of Commissioners approved two donations and the receipt of a grant at the Feb. 20 regular board meeting. The commissioners accepted a donation of two Dell OptiPlex desktop computers valued at $700 for the Henry County Police Department, and the Henry County Fire Department also received a $495 donation from the Georgia Burn Reconstruction Centers of America LLC., after approval from the board.
That donation will be used for the annual fire department banquet. Also approved was an emergency management performance grant with the Georgia Emergency Management Agency for EMA funding. Henry County qualified for and is due to receive $32,829 according to a staff report.
