The Henry County Police Department recognized more than a dozen of its own Dec. 10 at its annual awards ceremony. Those recognized include Robert Scott, Officer of the Year; Tom Stott, Detective of the Year; Dean Patterson, SWAT Operator of the Year; Al Harmon, Reserve Officer of the Year; Ralph Easterwood, Chaplain of the Year; Bruce LaBier, Special Operations Officer of the Year; records supervisor Lynn Norman, Administrative Employee of the Year; crime scene tech Kat Brown, Support Employee of the Year; David Gagnon, Supervisor of the Year; Joey Maddox, Rookie of the Year; Keith Shumate, District Attorney’s Exceptional Service Award; and Aris Thompson, FOP Chuck Haist Award. The Chief’s Choice Awards went to Jason Black, Enrico Godfrey, Harrison Smith, Cassandra Shannon, Ranier Velez, Rebecca Enslow, Lisa Chambers, and Dave Gardner.
