A five-year capital improvement plan for the Henry County Airport will be submitted to the Federal Aviation Administration by Nov. 22 to be considered for state and federal funding, after the plan was reviewed at the Henry County Board of Commissioners’ Nov. 5 regular meeting.

Airport manager Lynn Planchon informed the board about some of the priorities outlined under the plan, which include improvements related to taxiway widening as well as design and construction of a new fixed base of operations. The plan runs through the 2025 fiscal year. The CIP is required for an airport to be considered for state and federal funds.
