The Georgia Emergency Management Agency has appointed Henry County Commissioner Bruce Holmes as a representative on the Area 7 All Hazards Council. Holmes was recommended for the post by the Association County Commissioners of Georgia (ACCG) and will join top personnel representing the various disciplines of emergency services, including police, sheriffs, fire, 911, public health and other elected officials, to address critical issues of the region. As a member of the council, Holmes will assist in developing response and recovery strategies for potential hazards, as well as to help identify critical regional infrastructure, prepare response plans, support regional exercises and advise on potential projects for grant funding.
