Officers from the Henry County Police Department received commendations July 21 for their actions during a June 16 traffic accident.
A vehicle on I-75 North overturned several times and left the road, resting in a creek bed. The 60-year-old female driver was entangled in her seatbelt and submerged in water. The officers were able to get her out of the vehicle safely and prevent her from drowning.
The officers who received the reward were Khiry Thomas, Rebecca Enslow, and Dan Shelly.
