Gwinnett approves contract for Oak Road roadway improvement

Gwinnett Commissioners recently approved a construction contract not to exceed $969,776 for roadway improvements on Oak Road at Gwin Oaks Drive in unincorporated Gwinnett. CMES, Inc. was the lowest of 9 bidders for the project which will a northbound left turn lane and southbound right turn lane on Oak Road at the intersection with Gwin Oaks Drive.
The project will also include installation of a new water main, sidewalk, curb and gutter and other drainage improvements.
This contract is funded 84.66 percent by various Special Local Option Sales Tax programs.
