Connecting Henry, a nonprofit planning and coordinating agency, will receive $48,500 in funding through a reimbursement grant from the Georgia Department of Human Services.
The Henry County Board of Commissioners voted Jan. 3 to accept the funds for the fiscal year beginning July 1. Connecting Henry provides services directed at improving child health, child development, family function, school performance and family economic capacity. The organization provides a wide variety of services from employment assistance to helping local families during the holiday season.
The grant requires no local match.
