If you think you would enjoy a scavenger hunt-like event with your smartphone, Georgia’s state parks have an activity for you.
To mark the parks' 85th birthday, a geocaching event is being conducted, according to a report in the Gainesville Times. Participants can use a GPS-enabled smartphone or regular GPS device to find 12 caches in as many parks locations statewide.
To play, participants can download the game board from the parks website and attempt to find eight of the 12 total geocaches hidden across the state. Inside each cache, along with a stamp, is a logbook for players to jot down their name or user name. Participants then can swap trinkets with other geocachers.
