The Gateway85 Community Improvement District has been focusing in recent months on repairs to improve the area’s appearance and functionality. The CID has repaired 300 linear feet of handrail along Jimmy Carter Boulevard, and repaired sections of damaged sidewalk and upgraded them for Americans with Disabilities Act compliance throughout the district.
The organization has also completed a large section of new sidewalk on Brook Hollow Parkway connecting N. Norcross Tucker Road to Jimmy Carter Boulevard. Additional improvements include corrected drainage issues along stretches of sidewalk, eliminating pooling of water, to prevent slip hazards.
