Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta announced that that Gail Luxenberg, chief executive officer of the agency has resigned.
Douglas Kuniansky, Chair of the MJCCA Board of Directors, said Luxenberg will be relocating to Seattle later this year to be closer to family.
“The MJCCA has experienced fiscal sustainability and successful growth in both membership and programming during Gail’s tenure, and we wish her much success in her future endeavors,” he said in a statement.
“My work with the agency has been very rewarding,” says Luxenberg. “I am immensely proud of my achievements during the past three years, and I have enjoyed every minute of my work at the MJCCA.”
Kuniansky will also serve as acting CEO as of Aug 12.
Luxenberg held executive positions in nonprofits and business organizations before joining MJCCA.
