Red Oak Sanitation’s former Gwinnett County customers may be due a refund under an agreement with the Governor’s Office of Consumer Protection.
When Gwinnett revoked Red Oak’s authority to provide residential waste collection last July, customers were entitled to have their trash bins collected and receive a refund of their $25 or $50 deposit. An OCP investigation found the company failed to refund those deposits in a timely manner.
Under a settlement agreement, Red Oak is setting up a trust account for customers who have not received refunds. Customers who believe they are due a refund should call Red Oak at 678-455-7819.
