Five Forks library to get upgrades

Dec 21, 2011

The Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners has approved $1.1 million worth of improvements to the Five Forks library branch in Lawrenceville.

On Dec. 13 commissioners awarded the contract to Classic Plains Construction, the lowest of eight bidders. The company will install new lighting, mechanical equipment and temperature controls and make other improvements. It also will add new carpet and repaint the library.

The county will use voter-approved sales tax funds to pay for the project.
