With a federal grant, Kennesaw will use the $128,977 for infrastructure improvements this year.

Specifically, the grant will be used for curb and gutter replacement and stormwater improvements in Woodland Acres infrastructure improvements.

The Cobb County Board of Commissioners recently appropriated this grant to the city through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program.

Before the funds can be awarded, the city must execute a subrecipient agreement with Cobb County.

The Kennesaw City Council recently voted 5-0 to authorize Kennesaw Mayor Derek Easterling to sign the 2020 CDBG Subrecipient Agreement.
