The Fayette County Board of Commissioners’ retreat meeting from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on April 5 at the Old Courthouse building on the Fayetteville square will focus on the county’s finances. The agenda will begin with a review of the audited FY2018 budget and projections for FY2019, plus statistics of other operating funds related to the county jail, water system, solid waste processing, workers’ compensation and employee insurance. The tax digest millage rate and capital improvements projects will also be discussed. An overview of SPLOST implementation, transportation projects, electronic ballots and employee referrals will be held from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Board discussion will resume at 1 p.m. regarding public safety compensation, municipal growth, water system operations and capital projects.
