The Trade and Industrial Educators of Georgia group has chosen Margo Wimbish of Fayette County for its 2019 Administrator of the Year award.

Wimbish is the dean of students for Fayette County Public Schools’ alternative program. The award recognizes local school system administrators for their support of programs that prepare students for career and technical education after high school. Wimbish, a former assistant principal at Sandy Creek High School, will be presented with the award at the Georgia Career and Technical Education Summer Leadership Conference on July 15-16 in Athens.

Earlier this year, Wimbish was named as the Georgia Technology Student Association’s Administrator of the Year.
