Fayette County’s Public Arts Committee has five openings on its seven-member volunteer board.
The group was established by the Board of Commissioners to help develop and promote ways to create art in community spaces, encourage public participation in the arts, and to support local artists and arts education. Meetings are held at 7 p.m. on the first Wednesday and third Monday of each month. Members must be Fayette County residents; expenses related to their official duties may be reimbursed with approval from the county administrator. Upon selection, all terms would begin immediately; one expires May 31, 2019 and four others expire May 31, 2020.
Details and applications are available at www.fayettecountyga.gov, and submissions are due Aug. 31.
