Fourteen families, 21 adults and three children, will have to find a new place to live after an apartment fire in Henry County.
A fire destroyed half the building at the Glenwood Vista apartments in Henry County. Police say the bulk of the damage was on the roof and top floor units. Police are still trying to determine what sparked the flames.
Sunday night, when crews arrived to douse the flames of the apartment building, they said flames were pouring from the top of the building.
Firefighters said everyone made it out of the building safely.
Officials say Red Cross stepped in and a team of disaster volunteers provided the families with food, clothing and lodging. They were able to find rooms at hotels for everyone.
Officials say other residents in the 24-unit complex affected by the fire suffered power outages.
