Following extensive review and a public hearing, Gwinnett commissioners approved a rezoning request Tuesday by Logistics & Engineering Solutions to allow construction of an office building and conversion of an existing single-family dwelling for use as a live/work space. The 5.54-acre property at 2500 Loganville Highway sits on the northeast side of Loganville Highway, northwest of Ozora Road.

The engineering firm plans to maintain the existing 1,800-square-foot log cabin structure as a live/work space and construct an additional two-story building with 10,500 square feet of office space.

The zoning request was approved with conditions including guidelines for the facade of the new structure and landscaping buffers. Parking is restricted to no more than three spaces in the front, with additional parking allowed behind the structure.
