Emory University received a $15 million donation to start the second phase of construction for the Candler School of Theology, school officials announced Thursday.
The gift from the O. Wayne Rollins Foundation will allow the school to provide "state-of-the-art library and teaching facilities," Candler Dean Jan Love said.
In recognition of the gift, the college will name Candler's first building in memory of Rita Anne Rollins, a grandchild of the foundation’s namesake.
