Emergency construction at Ga. 316 and I-85 to close a lane Friday
One lane at Ga. 316 and I-85 will close beginning tonight for emergency repairs.
The westbound Ga. 316 lane will close from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. Saturday morning, the Georgia Department of Transportation said. That closure will allow crews to make the shoulder of the highway accessible for extended construction.
The work at the ramp is expected to continue until March 15. Speed limits will be reduced to 45 miles per hour while construction is ongoing.
There are no time restrictions on when the work to repair the road surface will happen.
