Hurricane Dorian ripped through the Bahamas as a Category 5 hurricane recently leaving at least 50 people dead, 2,500 people missing and a death toll that is expected to rise as search and rescue continues. More than 70,000 people have been evacuated and are seeking shelter.
The Rev. Raphael Warnock, pastor of Ebenezer and the Rev. Dr. Timothy Stewart of the Bahamas are joining forces to help the people of Bahamas by providing prayer and supplies that can aid in the devastation.
“We must stand with our brothers and sisters in the Bahamas right now because the blood that binds us is thicker than the water that divides us,” says Rev. Warnock. “The people of the islands that have provided for so many of us comfort now need our consolation and care. We give it freely. We are one.”
