East Point opens fire stations as warming center

The city of East Point announced last week the decision to use its fire stations as warming centers during extremely cold weather.

When temperatures are at or below 32 degrees fire stations in the city of East Point are open around the clock as warming stations.

Persons needing shelter from the cold can visit one of the following locations: Fire Station 2, located at 3171 Norman Berry Drive; Fire Station 3, located at 3800 North Commerce Drive; and Fire Station 4, located at 2222 Ben Hill Road.
