The East Point City Council will consider approving a contract for citywide roadway stripping during its regular scheduled meeting at 6:30 p.m. Monday at Jefferson Station Council Chambers, 1526 East Forrest Ave. Suite 400.

The agreement would be with Peek Pavement Marking LLC for $52,803.25.

A number of agenda items regarding the purchase of equipment will be addressed, including back flow and valves replacement at the city’s water treatment plant, a fuel management system and 12 substation voltage regulators.

Also on the agenda is consideration of a memorandum of understanding between the city and the Sickle Cell Foundation, as well as a discussion about submitting an application to the Department of Homeland Security for the SAFER Grant, to provide funding to the fire department to increase and maintain the number of trained firefighters.
