The upcoming redistricting in DeKalb County will be the focus of two upcoming public meetings sponsored by county commissioner Kathie Gannon.
Gannon will discuss the updated 2010 Census figure that are driving the new drawing of political lines in the county. Mike Alexander from the Atlanta Regional Commission, will also be on hand to answer questions about the process and its effect on the local level.
The meeting run from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 27 at Meadowview Elementary, 1879 Wee Kirk Road.
Gannon and Commissioner Jeff Rader will also discuss the issue at a Civic Association Network meeting on Thursday, July 28. That meeting begins at 7 p.m. at the One DeKalb Resource Center at Northlake Mall.
