Three Winder residents died in a Barrow County car crash Saturday night.
The Georgia State Patrol said David Michael Varnum, 53; John Willis Collins, 61; and Wanda Jean Collins, 54, were killed at about 10:50 p.m. on Ga. 82 near Holsenbeck School Road.
The GSP is investigating the incident, but said an eastbound 1995 Chevrolet Camaro driven by Varnum crossed the center line of Ga. 82 and struck the Collins' Ford Taurus head-on.
Alcohol is suspected as a contributing factor and a blood test will be performed Varnum, the GSP said in a press release.
