A crash sent a car flipping into the wood line and caused heavy southbound delays on I-985 south of Ga. 53 Monday.
The accident off of the Oakwood exit blocked a right lane on the two-lane stretch of interstate between Gainesville and Buford, according to the WSB 24-hour Traffic Center.
As an alternate between Hall and Gwinnett counties, take Ga. 13 to Spout Springs Road back to I-985.
“And you want to take that alternate, trust me,” traffic reporter Mark Arum said.
Trip times were 42 minutes from Gainesville to the I-85 merge just before 8 a.m. and crash delays had cleared by 8:30 a.m.
