Suwanee recently began renovations to the city’s almost 60-year-old municipal court building. The expansion is expected to improve the experience for citizens needing court services and create more space for court and police employees.

The courthouse lobby will be expanded to accommodate court session crowds, court clerk work space will more than double, and new space will be constructed for the police Special Enforcement Unit. Renovations are scheduled for completion in early 2020.

The municipal court has temporarily moved across Town Center Park to City Hall, 330 Town Center Avenue. Court sessions will take place upstairs in council chambers; day-to-day court activities can be handled at the Suwanee Police Station, 373 Buford Highway.
