The man who has served as the interim provost of Kennesaw State University since July 2010 will fill the job permanently, President Dan Papp announced Monday. Ken Harmon, the former business school dean, begins immediately, Papp said.

Harmon and two other finalists met with students, staff and others last week as part of the final interviews.

Harmon is the second person to be offered the job. Timothy Chandler accepted the job in February, but withdrew a month later following community debate over an academic paper he co-authored in 1998. LAURA DIAMOND
