Several vehicle crashes near the Paulding-Cobb county line are expected to snarl traffic in the area for several hours.

The Paulding County Sheriff's Office sent out an alert about 2:15 p.m. Wednesday warning people to avoid the area of U.S. 278 at Poplar Springs Road for several hours.

An operator with the Hiram Police Department said there were no serious injuries or fatalities from the unrelated crashes.

There is also traffic light maintenance going on at that intersection, the Paulding sheriff’s office said.

If you’re looking to get around, there’s Macland Road to the north, and Powder Springs Dallas Road to the south, with its many southbound tributaries before reconnecting to 278.
