Cops seek suspect in double shooting in Meriwether

The Meriwether County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a double shooting Wednesday that left one victim hospitalized.

Sheriff’s spokesman Sgt. Scott Savage said Thursday that authorities are looking for one suspect who used a shotgun during the incident on Meriwether Street in the city of Grantville. One victim was taken to Atlanta Medical Center in stable condition, and the other was released with what authorities describe as a flesh wound.
