The Milton Disability Awareness Committee and Milton Grows Green have scheduled Hayden's Walk for Autism, an event to raise awareness and funds for Autism. The event begins at 8 a.m. Sept. 17 at Kohl's on Ga. 9 in Milton.
The walk is named for Milton resident Hayden Moore, a sophomore at Alpharetta High School. Moore was diagnosed with Autism at age 2 and has since become an advocate for Autism awareness.
The walk is free. Cash donations can be made to Autism Speaks, a national advocacy group, and to Hayden's Walk for Autism.
