Commissioners will hold a public hearing regarding the proposed $1.42 billion 2015 budget 7 p.m. Dec. 8 in the Gwinnett Justice and Administrative Center auditorium, 75 Langley Drive, Lawrenceville. Commissioners invite either oral or written comments about the budget during the hearing or through the county’s website through Dec. 31: www.gwinnettcounty.com.
Highlights of the budget include pay-for-performance increases for employees, a step increase for public safety personnel, additional staffing for judicial services and the animal shelter, a new fire station and the new Level Creek Park. The board expects to adopt the 2015 budget on Jan. 6.
