A 61-year-old Kennesaw woman was struck and killed by a car Thursday night.

Rachaelle L. Richardson “stepped into the path of” a white 2011 Toyota Camry driven by a 20-year-old Marietta man, Cobb County police said in a news release.

Sgt. Wayne Delk, agency spokesman, told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution on Friday that the preliminary investigation shows no signs of a suicide.

The crash happened about 10 p.m. on Stilesboro Road at Kennesaw Due West Road.

Delk said early evidence doesn’t give investigators a reason to file charges against the driver, but the investigation continues.

Anyone with information can call Cobb police at 770-499-3987.
