The Cobb Board of Commissioners this week approved Dr. Christopher J. Gulledge as the county’s chief medical examiner. He will start March 29 with a salary of $210,000.

Gulledge has more than 13 years experience as a medical examiner and currently works for the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. He has also worked in Cobb three months as an associate medical examiner.

Gulledge replaces Dr. Brian Frist who resigned Sept. 30 after a critical audit of the medical examiner’s office in Cobb.
