Cobb establishes 2 ‘no parking’ zones

The Cobb County Board of Commissioners voted 5-0 on July 14 to approve two “no parking” zones.

One will be along the south side of Pete Shaw Road from Steinhauer Road for around 725 feet east to Lassiter High School.

The county’s transportation department has had to make repeated shoulder repairs due to parking by those attending Lassiter athletic events even though school officials say there is adequate parking available on school property.

The other will be along both sides of White Road from White Circle to the cul-de-sac for about 960 feet east for this road that runs parallel with Old 41 Highway and is next to Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park.

Park officials are in agreement with this restriction to help provide daily access by delivery trucks to an acoustical tile distribution facility that is the only occupant on White Road.
