Looking to adopt a furry friend? The Cobb County Animal Control will host its second Adopt-a-Thon from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 10.
The event will help the County County agency in their efforts to win the "ASPCA $100k Challenge."
The Cobb County Animal Control, as well as the Cherokee County Animal Shelter and the Humane Society for Greater Savannah, won spots in the national challenge and will compete for grants, including the top prize of $100,000. The Adopt-a-Thon will include raffle prizes, music, food and vendors. Another event is scheduled for Oct. 8.
The Adopt-a-Thon will be held at 1060 Al Bishop Dr.
The challenge runs through Oct. 31.
