Two Cobb County commissioners are planning town hall meetings in April to gather community comments and share about activities in their districts.
- District One Commissioner Bob Weatherford will host a joint town hall with Acworth city officials at 6:30 p.m. April 10 at Acworth Municipal Court, 4408 Acworth Industrial Drive, Acworth. Weatherford, a Republican, is facing a May 22 primary challenge from Republicans Keli Gambrill, Melissa O'Brien and Forrest Shealy. No Democratic opponents qualified in this race.
- District Two Commissioner Bob Ott will host a town hall from 7 to 8:30 p.m. April 23 in the conference room at SunTrust Park Stadium. Those attending will be informed about the county budget, the Cumberland area, District Two and be able to ask any questions they may have. Ott does not face an election this year. People should park in the Red Deck and enter at the Right Field Gate. Parking will be free.
