City taking time to plan for package sales

Peachtree Corners has placed a moratorium on licenses or permits for the manufacture, possession, distribution, and sale of package distilled spirits, in order to allow time to consider necessary zoning ordinances, prepare necessary forms and adopt procedures for the processing of such applications.

In its first city-held elections on Nov. 4, Peachtree Corners voters overwhelmingly approved the referendum to allow package sales of distilled spirits within city limits. During the moratorium, the city will not accept any applications. Peachtree Corners anticipates the process of preparing for package sales to take up to four months.
