Officials at Eagle’s Landing First Baptist Church announced this week initial plans for development of a 65-acre site adjacent to the main campus that was acquired just over a year ago.

An agreement has been reached with Omega Communities to build a $45 million continuing care community expected to open in late 2017. Tentative agreements have been reached with three separate local ministries to also construct new facilities at the “ministry village” in the next three years: Pregnancy Resource Center of Henry County; Eagle’s Landing Christian Counseling Center; and Uniting Hope 4 Children, a foster/adoption ministry based in Lawrenceville. The church property designated for all of these developments is at Hwy. 42 and Brannan Road in Stockbridge.
