Childhood obesity walk scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 29 at Piedmont Park

Community Life Concepts has scheduled its fourth annual childhood obesity walk for Saturday, Sept. 29 at Piedmont Park. Residents can register for the "Walk It Off" event by visiting http://bit.ly/PAfRxT or www.communitylifeconcepts.org. Atlanta City Council Aaron Watson, who is helping promote the event, commended CLC for organizing the walk. "Over 40 percent of Georgia's youth are overweight or obese," Watson said. "It is imperative that we bring awareness to this preventable problem."
