Cherokee County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a fight which led to a shooting Tuesday night.

Deputies dispatched to Jordan Road in Ball Ground say Buddy Gene Hembree, 47, and his daughter’s boyfriend, Cory Siling, 36, fought and Hembree suffered significant facial injuries. After the fight, Hembree allegedly shot Siling in the buttocks with a handgun as he fled.

Both Hembree and Siling were treated at hospitals for non-life threatening injuries. Deputies say Hembree was tasered as he was taken into custody for not obeying officers’ commands.

No charges have been filed in the case as deputies continue investigating.
